It contains a blend of history, myth, legend, art. Various sources speak about its origins. The farthest are those from the Roman period, mentioned by Plinio in the "Naturalis Historia". He speaks of a temple where worshiping and giving gifts to the nymphs.
Ninfa is a amazing botanic garden listed among the most beautiful in Italy. In the perimeter stood a medieval town with its castle and the tower (among ruins there are also remains of some ancient churches).
Around the Latina province, you can visit the beautiful medieval village of Sermoneta, a charming town rich in culture and history, whose origins are lost in the mists of time, probably in pre-Roman times.
Over the centuries, in the imposing Castello Caetani in Sermoneta and in the city itself, illustrious kings and popes used to live in.
Today Sermoneta still retains this immense heritage, arts and culture, so much that it became one of the most important resorts on the outskirts of Rome.
A medieval village remained practically intact with streets that climb winding, limestone houses, ancient shops where you feel the scents and smells of freshly baked bread, of Grandma's cookies and wine.
